CONTRACTED!! Vixen and the Pea (July 2012)

CONTRACTED!! Vixen and the Pea (July 2012)

I’ve just contracted with Evernight Publishing for a Naughty Fairy Tale based loosely on The Princess and The Pea called, wait for it… “Vixen and the Pea”.  Haha…yes, seriously! It won’t be your grandmother’s romance, that’s for sure.

More to come in the days ahead. Tentative release date is sometime in July 2012.  Woo-hoo!

NOT the official cover…just one of my own making for fun. Image subject to copyright.

Six Sentence Sunday — Naughty Fairy Tale #1 #SixSunday

Welcome to “Six Sentence Sunday”.  Thank you for visiting and especially for any comments you’d care to leave.

I’ve been working on a naughty fairy tale based loosely on The Princess and the Pea that so far I’m calling The Vixen and the Pea. I know.  Groan away. But anyway, it’s set in the fictional kingdom of Basqueland (yes, probably somewhere near the French and Spanish border) and pits Prince Koldo against Lady Otsana, who is a shrewish little thing with a dark secret.

In this early bit, Koldo is devising a list of pre-requisites for any woman he might be pushed by duty into marrying. He assumes the more onerous the list, the longer he can defer taking a wife.

The Princess and the Pea

“She must have all her teeth, first and foremost!” he exclaimed aloud as he scribbled his non-negotiable requirement.

“She must possess an intelligence capable of engaging and surpassing the highest sages in the land.” Koldo smiled as he scratched down his second requirement.  His grin fell however, as he recalled Lady Otsana, an annoying female with a mind designed to challenge in the most quarrelsome manner.

“She must be of sound health and constitution,” he wrote with a shrug. He would receive no objections to that requirement but did not dare take any chances at being besieged by the bedridden, the emaciated and the morbidly obese due to a loophole.

If you enjoyed this tantalizing little nibble, check out the host site, Six Sentence Sunday, for links to more snippets from some very talented writers.

Blog Tour (continued)

I have been remiss in continuing my tour with links:

On May 21st, I returned to Boxers or Briefs to reveal whether Colin from All’s Fair in Love and War was a boxers or briefs or other kind of guy. Did you guess correctly?

Also on May 21st, I wrote a guest piece for Siobhan Muir’s blog called “Can Sex Be Funny?”, one of my cuter pieces if I do say so myself.

On May 23rd, I am guest posting on Avery Flynn’s blog with some hot men for gratuitous– No, I did not objectify them, honestly…mostly. But as a teaser, this is one of the men pictured:

Marco Dapper

Oh my! (as George Takei would say)

I have a couple more stops next week, but I’ll provide an update later this week for those!

While All’s Fair has fallen off All Romance ebooks’ top chick lit bestsellers list, it remains on the top 30-day bestseller list for Bookstrand for erotic chick lit / hen lit. Not bad!

Thank you to all who picked up a copy! And if you’d like a chance to win a free copy, be sure to comment at Avery’s blog because one is up for grabs there.

Not the Royal “We” but the Writing Team Known as Adonis Devereux Visits!

Today I am thrilled to spotlight a fellow Evernight Publishing author whose naughty fairy tale, The Twelve Naughty Princesses, released earlier this month. I’m going to hand over the keys to the author(s), the husband and wife writing team known as Adonis Devereux.

*****************

Thank you so much, Lila, for letting us take over your blog for the day!

It’s the Mr. here, just wanting to let everyone know about our newest release, The Twelve Naughty Princesses.

We’re always so busy writing our Gilalion series of novels, scorching romances that take place in our home-brew fantasy world. In the midst of plotting for the manuscript we’re currently writing, we paused when we saw Evernight’s Naughty Fairy Tale line. We thought we’d like to try our hand at a short story, especially when it was a fairy tale that we could re-tell to maximum erotic effect. The Twelve Naughty Princesses has everything from spanking to voyeurism, from delicious faerie men to spunky, sexy princesses who know just what to do when they cross the veil and find themselves in a magical realm where they are required to do so much more than dancing

More About The Twelve Naughty Princesses:

Max is a soldier down on his luck, and when the king sends out a call for volunteers to solve the mystery of the twelve dancing princesses, Max figures he has nothing to lose, nothing, of course, except his head if he should fail. Max has faced death before and doesn’t fear it, but when he meets the princesses, all lovely, light-hearted, and battling constant exhaustion due to their mysterious nightly escapades, he realizes he could lose his heart as well. To win his princess, Max must break the spell. But he must face the truth that the twelve princesses are terribly naughty and do much more than just dance, and he will have to join in the amorous festivities himself to get them out.

Excerpt:

Each princess chose two dancing partners, and an invisible orchestra struck up a waltz. The music fell like dew drops and moonlight over the room, coating everyone and everything in its beauty, doubling in Max his longing for Alaren. She fell into the arms of one of her partners, leaning back into his chest. He cradled her in his powerful arms, and they swayed together. The other man joined them, and Alaren was pressed between their flesh. They moved with the waltz, their feet unerringly skipping across the ballroom floor while their bodies undulated against one another. They moved like waves in the sea. Each thrust evoked a pull. When one exhaled, the other inhaled. Grab and swirl, push and grind, the dancers performed their sex-waltz. Max brought himself almost to climax before he stopped suddenly, letting his cock go as it twitched in anticipation of orgasm. He knew how to build up his cum for a final, explosive release. He grabbed his cock again and resumed stroking.

Perdita, the mistress of the ball, walked around to different trios of dancers and administered light spankings where she thought appropriate. Some of the twins she upbraided for not giving themselves to the night, for not dancing with all the passion they could muster. The princesses giggled and moaned, enjoying every moment of their punishment. Max wondered if some of them did not dance badly on purpose just so they could get spanked. After being disciplined, the twins danced with greater heat as they wiggled their buttocks on their partners’ growing cocks. Perdita walked on, and the expression on her face reminded Max of a matron of a particular cat-house he used to visit regularly. Everyone had assumed that due to her severity, she hated men and wanted nothing to do with them. But Max had known better. Over her own protestations, he gave her a good fucking one night, taking her instead of one of her girls. That was just what she had needed, and he had known that. Whenever he went back there, he always fucked her. Perdita was much the same way. She looked stern and intimidating, but Max knew all she needed – all she wanted – was a forceful cock inside her that would not spurt within the first minute of intercourse. Strong women had that effect on men. They needed even stronger men with even greater stamina to topple them and give them the orgasms they craved.

Max returned his attention to Alaren, and his cock regained its vigor. Alaren was the woman for him; there was no doubt about it. She was what he needed. Max lost track of time. He did not know how long he stood there jacking off, but the music finally ended. The princesses’ slippers were worn through. They must have danced for hours, but how time flowed in the faery realm Max did not know. He was still as horny as ever. The princesses were all covered in sweat, their hair drenched and clinging to her skin, their corsets moving up and down with their labored breathing.

More About Adonis Devereux

Adonis Devereux is two people made one. He grew up in Michigan and in rural Indiana, a Midwestern boy with a passion for story. She was rootless, a Virginia native who lived in London, Paris, and Rome before her parents settled just outside Tokyo. Like him, stories burned in her.

They met in university at a poetry reading, and their love story continued into marriage, graduate school, and half a dozen children. Now he teaches at a Japanese national university, and she teaches children to invert fractions and decline Latin nouns, all while researching ancient Roman and medieval recipes for their novels.

Sinful Sirens Giveaway Hop (Int’l) (Winner Selected!)

Sinful Sirens Giveaway Hop (Int’l) (Winner Selected!)

Congratulations Jennifer Rote!

You were the lucky winner of my giveaway. I’ll be emailing you shortly about prize fulfullment.  Thanks to everyone who participated. I appreciate all the great reading suggestions!

Hi everyone!

We hope you are as excited as we are about the Sinful Sirens Giveaway Hop!  Thanks for visiting me today!!

I am giving away a hot-off-the-cyber-press e-book, my debut release from Evernight Publishing, All’s Fair in Love and War. I’m so pleased to brag that it’s doing pretty well it the Chick Lit category at both All Romance ebooks and BookStrand.  Who says Chick Lit is dead? Not me, that’s for sure.

So, a little about me for my first time visitors:

I write erotica and erotic romance as Lila Shaw, mainstream adult fiction as Claire Gillian and young adult fiction under a third name, but she’s shy and doesn’t come out much on my blog. I’ve been writing for about four years, writing the steamier stuff for about two.

I live in the rainy, moldy Pacific NW with my husband and two teenaged sons. It’s actually a perfect place for the likes of a pasty-white, auburn-haired (well, used to be anyway and thanks to Miss Clairol it maintains a reasonable semblance to such) gal. I’m not a full time writer though that’s my retirement dream, a dream that is sadly and happily far too many years away.

Most of my writing involves strong-willed women who are most definitely NOT submissives but would probably be more likely to be the Doms, not that I write about BDSM. I don’t. Sorry. My heroines would have told 50 Shades’ Christian Grey, “Nuh-uh, you are SO not using that thing on me!”. But I do like to keep it light and funny wherever possible, even the sex, cause sex is kind of funny if you think about it. It is!

Enough about me and on to more about the prize.

About My Giveaway:

It’s a two-fer. Free books are great but so are gift cards to Amazon that give you the freedom to buy whatever you like. So one lucky commenter will win both!

One e-book copy of All’s Fair in Love and War

Only two obstacles block Shelby Donaldson’s path to success at her new job—her sizzling hot supervisor and his freezing cold attitude. Maybe her flirting got a little out of hand at first, but that’s no reason for Mr. Sighs-A-Lot to screw her over in her performance review.

Colin Montoya is not going to fall for Shelby’s sex-in-a-suit brand of temptation. He’s got her number and is not going to dial it, nor is he going to allow Shelby’s philandering brother to marry his baby sister.

After an explosive one-night stand goes awry, battle lines are drawn. But can the warring co-workers negotiate a cease-fire long enough to realize their romantic fortunes might just lie in each other?

AND One $10 gift e-card to Amazon.

Because all the prizes are digital, this giveaway is international.
