St. Patrick's Day Blog Hop
UPDATE: DONNAS1, YOU are my lucky winner!!!
Congratulations!! I’ll email you shortly.
Thanks for visiting my blog today. With a name like “Shaw”, you know I’m part Irish even if it is a pen name! As such it’s my sworn duty to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. Blog don’t fail me now. So, I have a couple of treats for you just for visiting.
1. Everyone gets a free St. Patrick’s day read just for visiting (Warning: explicit content, not for anyone under 18)
2. Commenters will earn a chance to win $10 gift e-card to Amazon AND chances in the overall prize pool
All you have to do is leave a comment in THIS post telling me if you’ve any Irish blood or not. Be sure I have your email address somewhere; it’s usually required as part of the commenting process. I’d also love a Facebook like (see sidebar for link) but it’s not mandatory, just the comment is. You’re more than welcome to comment on the free read post too, but the comments only count in this one, especially if you want to be considered for the grand prizes awarded by the collective hop participants which are:
Grand Prize 1: Winner’s Choice of a Kindle Fire or Nook Tablet
Grand Prize 2: Winner’s Choice of a $90 Amazon or Barnes&Noble Gift Card
So, for your free read, you’ll need to click here to go to the password protected post. (For those over 18, the password is: shamrock. If you’re under 18, the password is: fuggedaboudit)
I hope you’ll come back and visit me again. I often do a Six Sentence Sunday sampler and will be releasing my debut novella in May, called All’s Fair in Love and War, published by Evernight Publishing.
A list with links to the other blog hop participants follows. Have fun visiting all the other participants. My winner will be announced on St. Patrick’s Day, March 17th, as will the 2 grand prize winners.

I have some Irish blood in me from both my parents, but the Scottish and German seems to be much stronger. Though I still wear green for St. Patrick’s Day.
All the best!

My dad’s side of the family is Irish through and through. My hubby is Asian, so it’s nice to be able to share my Irish side with him of St. Patty’s 😛
May the lilt of Irish laughter
lighten every load.
May the mist of Irish magic
shorten every road…
And may all your friends remember
all the favours you are owed! Slainte
Legally no, but my mom was adopted and judging by the names on her birth certificate one or both of her biological parents was probably Irish.

With the names in my family tree, if I’m Irish it’s too far back to count! Doesn’t mean I can’t celebrate along with the true Irish though! 🙂

No blood, just the name.
Happy St. Patrick’s Day! May the rainbow lead to your success!
Hey, 🙂 I am part (and I’d say this is pretty tiny in amount) Irish. I grew up only recognizing the Norwegian (using lefse) and that was about the only nod to heritage of the cultural variety. When I started looking into all the pieces that went into making our family, I came to the very real conclusion that we are they typical case of ‘mutt’ (which if you’ve met most of those kinds of dogs, they are the best kind!). 🙂 So proudly I embrace all the tiny pieces of my family heritage.
I have very little Irish in me. I am not sure exactly how much, but my grandfather was always proud of the Irish part of his heritage. He loved collecting all the “Kiss Me I’m Irish” merchandise.

I’m a Heinz 57 – with absolutely no idea if I have any Irish in me at all. If so, my family did not celebrate it. But I certainly have a definite weakness for handsome, strong, alpha Irish men with a silver tongue and a charming, razor sharp wit, lol.
Thank you so much for participating in this hop!

I’m sure I have some very thinned out Irish blood in my veins 🙂 I’m Icelandic, and most Icelanders are made up of Norwegian settlers and Irish slaves (viking bounties). We don’t celebrate this day here, though. It’s unfortunate, because it looks like a fun tradition.
I’m half Irish on mom’s side… corned beef and cabbage tomorrow!
