Regrettable Book of the Week™ — “Thrust Upright”
Today I have the fourteenth in my “Regrettable Book of the Week™” series. For those of you new to my series, this is 100% parody. You are more than welcome to laugh, snicker and guffaw at my amateurish photoshopping and blurb writing. Bad is good. Good is bad.
This week I have a guest. Please welcome Ghost Author, Aimee Laine with her entry in the Regrettable Book of the Week™ hall of infamy.
About Aimee
Aimee is a romantic at heart and a southern transplant with a bit of the accent (but not a whole bunch). She’s married to her high school sweetheart, and with him, she’s produced three native North Carolinians, two of whom share the same DNA.
With an MBA and a degree in Applied Mathematics, there’s absolutely no reason she should be writing romance novels. Then again, she shouldn’t need a calculator to add two numbers, either … but she does.
The blurb:
Life in upside-down-land should be hard. Walking on ceilings. Hair hanging to the floor. At least there’s no walking on eggshells.
Tell that to Lucille Nordquist who only meant to try out the inversion table with her personal trainer, Sinclair Thrust, not be literally and magically skewered by him and made to live in a world that is completely opposite everyone else.
Now, she’s stuck with the blood constantly rushing to her head.
If only she could turn herself around and make Sinclair undo what he did. The power to do so rests in a song and until she learns to be happy, and know it, she’ll never again be able to stomp her feet on the ground.
Luckily for Lucille, payback’s what it’s all about and when she does land on her feet, Sinclair will know it.
Now there’s some speculative fiction that’ll have you trying to figure out which way is up, eh? Thank you Aimee for the man-titty! See, she pays attention to what sells.
Do you have an idea for the next “Regrettable Book of the Week™”? Be sure to share in the comments if so.
