Six Sentence Sunday–“I is for Iris”, pt 1
Welcome to my second “Six Sentence Sunday”. Thank you for visiting and especially for any comments you might leave me. I thrive upon feedback.
This excerpt is from “I is for Iris”, a short story from an anthology I’m currently working on called the “Succubus Wiki”
“I make dreams come true, unrequited love and frustrated lust being my particular specialties. Got a thing for the spunky cheerleader who doesn’t even know you’re alive? I’m your gal. Sportin’ a boner for your hot secretary but your wife would murder you if she even caught a whiff? Your wish is my command. I work for a philanthropic group of succubi and incubi who try to give back to the community in exchange for the satisfaction of our carnal appetites.
If you enjoyed that, check out the host site, Six Sentence Sunday, for links to more tantalizing snippets from some very talented writers.
Haaaaaaaaaahahahaha. Philanthropic succubi. 😉 Niiiiiiiiiiiice. 🙂
Heh-heh. It could happen. LOL Thanks for the read and comment, Aimee.

You know, now that I have this posted, I regret my choice. The feel of the first paragraph of the story, this post, is jaunty and sarcastic while the story that follows is actually really sweet. My bad. I think I’ll edit this paragraph to better match the tone of what follows. The philanthropic succubus concept, however, IS still the underlying foundation of the story. Can’t change that.
I think your first six sound good – it hooked me straight away – I like the sarcasm and if the story that follows is sweet then that might be a nice twist or mellow-er – that these hard-edged little succubi let the soft side in.
THanks! That’s a great way of thinking of it. Thank you for that.
Hahahaha! What a great idea! Love the ad-wish I could answer it. 🙂
Heh-heh, never thought about it from the public’s point of view and I wrote the damn thing. I guess I’m so used to writing these succubus ditties in first person, I get stuck in her head. Face-palm. Thanks for the read and comment.
Where do I sign up? LOL.
I’m starting a Linky signup sheet! 🙂 Thanks for the read and comment.
Oh, this sounds like a great story!
Thank you so much! I appreciate you stopping by to read and comment.
I love the tone and the idea! This promises to be a lot of fun. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you! Perhaps I’ll continue it in 6 sentence bits…
Philanthropic succubi and incubi. Wow. A lot to wrap one’s brain around, and what my (admittedly strange) brain does is to think of the combined possibility of comedy and erotica — at the same time.
I love to combine erotica and comedy. Thanks for the read and comment.
Pro bono succubi? I love it! These six sentences grabbed me–and I love the dialog’s rhythm.
You’re very kind. thank you for the encouragement.
Sounds like a good deal to me, lol.
It’s definitely a good deal for the succubi and incubi. Sadly, the humans recall nothing. 😦 Thanks for the read and comment!
