Six Sentence Sunday — “G is for Gaia” #SixSunday
Welcome to “Six Sentence Sunday”. Thank you for visiting and especially for any comments you’d care to leave.
This teaser comes from a short story I wrote during NaNo for the “Succubus Wiki”. The Wiki will be an anthology of short stories featuring a variety of succubi from all different worlds and genres. Kind of an erotic sampler. This six is taken from Gaia’s story.
Gaia is a succubus who has set her mind to nailing one of the superheroes greeting the public the one day of the year the League of Justice’s hall is open to tourists. She’s explaining her choice of target to her incubus friend and speaks first:
“I think this is the year I finally land [Madagascar Man].”
“The Roach guy? Really Gaia. Why on earth are you still chasing after that disgusting creature? You don’t know where he’s been, and besides, he’s always so rude to you.”
“He’s practically indestructible.”
If you enjoyed this tantalizing little nibble, check out the host site, Six Sentence Sunday, for links to more snippets from some very talented writers.
Intriguing six indeed..indestructible.
Oooo – Madagascar Man! I do love my super heros, almost as much as my cowboys. I have a feeling this IS the year Gaia nails the Roach guy. Sensational six!
I can’t wait for the Succubus Wiki!
I want to get this one out there soon if I can. Gaia is one that’s grown on me over time.
Interesting premise for a story! I’d read more. Great six.
Intriguing six – she’s definitely going to nail him!
Oh yeah, that’s a given. 😉
“He’s practically indestructible.” Lol That’s the most cogent (and hilarious) reason I can think of for wanting to nail him. Great six Lila! Looking forward to the anthology. 🙂
That definitely is her primary reason. She needs the energy; he’s got it in spades.
What a fun voice in this snippet. Can’t wait to read more.
Thanks, Cate. I appreciate that.
Looking forward to more of this, Lila. Great introduction to a unique story.
It’s definitely a bit on the strange and ridiculous side. LOL Thanks, Gem.
“Roach guy”? Now that is an evocative word-picture. Great 6!
Oh god, I have GOT to see how you’re able to make roach man sexy! Great 6!
I did my best. We’ll see though. Thanks for the read and comment.
Such an intriguing premise, and a great six! 🙂
I hope I can make you snicker some more in the weeks ahead. Thanks for the read and comment.
LOL! Great six! Yes, roaches are virtually indestructible. What an interesting story. 🙂
Yep…the only thing that can survive a nuclear blast…or so the myth goes. thanks, J.C.
Hahhaa. Love it. Roaches could live through anything!
Heh-heh, that’s the idea. Thanks for the read and comment.
LOL Indestructable or not, I don’t think I’d go for anyone resembling a cock roach. When I was in high school, a science teacher of mine kept lots of animals in our classroom, including a tank full of Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches. I thought they were totally disgusting. One day during lunch hour, I walked by the classroom door and saw her sitting alone in the room cradling one in her hand, baby-talking to it as she stroked it… *shudder*
OMG, yes. I used to work for the zoology dept at my university. Every now and then one of Dr. Koepe’s Madagascar hissing roaches would escape. We were forbidden from killing them. Luckily for Philippe (his name), he’s called Madagascar Man not because he actually turns into a roach but because he has roach-like characteristics.
Lol! Love her rationalization here 🙂
that’s certainly what it sounds like doesn’t it? Believe it or not, she’s 100% serious and for a very good reason. LOL Thanks for the read and comment.
